ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Some of this info is from previous years, however, much of it will be the same as years prior. If you have ANY questions, concerns, or suggestions, please direct them over to Katie at wildthingsfamilyreunion@gmail.com, or shoot a text to 504-553-6878.
*BRING CASH PLEASE!! Tickets sales at the door will be cash only, PLEASE! Most vendors/the bar/etc. will be cash only. Venmo/Pay-Pal may be an option for some vendors, but the cell service can be spotty out there.
*Check in begins Friday 11/20 at 9AM. We recommend writing out your directions (in case service goes out) as well as using GPS. The driveway to the property should be well marked once you turn onto Bull Run Rd.
*If you are planning on bringing your own liquor/beer, we are asking for an optional, but greatly appreciated, “cooler donation” of $10-$20 at the front gate. Our bar is also by donation only, so we ask that you help us out in this way to support the Festival and the musicians :)
*CAR/TENT CAMPERS: Please follow the signs once you arrive to car/tent camping areas. It is a huge property, so feel free to spread out/explore within these zones. There are lots of fun little nooks and crannies around.... :) If you have any questions about where you are allowed to camp, please ask. No camping underneath the giant Oak trees, please.
*PRIMO RV CAMPERS: Once you check-in, we will have someone on a golf cart to help direct you where to go/park if you have an RV. Also, please remember to be patient as we get the RVs parked! Thank you! There will be a designated waiting spot for you to pull over and wait for your RV parking escort if we are busy. If you are arranging for your RV to be dropped off, please make sure they give us your name so we can get it parked in the right spot. If you plan on having it delivered before the gates open on Friday, please reach out to us so we can make sure someone is around to assist them when they get to the property. Having your RV delivered to the middle of the field with no name associated with it causes chaos and unnecessary maneuvering! Don’t ask how we know! Thank you!
*CAMPFIRES: We will have a big communal bonfire every night (weather permitting), and you are welcome to have your own campfire at your campsite. Please practice safe campfire guidelines! You may bring your own wood, and we will have bundles of wood for sale. You can pay for them at the bar.
*CLESI’s is planning on serving hot breakfast, lunch and dinner (with some vegetarian options). There will also be a variety of other vendors that will be selling things like coffee and fun treats. We have plenty of great chefs in the Family so don’t be surprised if you get offered some delicious food while wandering around camp! Feel free to bring your own grills and food as well! No one shall go hungry at the Reunion!
*BRING DRINKING WATER! The property has a clubhouse that has running well water from the kitchen sink. It's safe to drink but can have a funny taste. We recommend bringing your own water jugs that will last you the weekend. You are welcome to refill at the clubhouse if you do run out. There are also gas stations/groceries nearby for any last minute needs.
*BATHROOMS: We will have port-o-potties/hand wash stations scattered about on site, and there are flushing toilets available in the clubhouse.
*SHOWERS: Hot showers are available for your use in the clubhouse. Please keep in mind that these are the property owners’ responsibility and due to circumstances out of our control, they may or not be functioning with hot water at the time of the event. Please plan accordingly. Please treat the clubhouse with respect and clean up after yourself if using the facilities.
*GOLF CARTS/ATVs/MOTORCYCLES: For the safety of everyone, no personal motorized vehicles like golf carts or ATVs are allowed. Golf carts are for the use of Wild Things Staff only. However, you are welcome to ask for a ride on a golf cart and I’m sure you will get one :)
*PET POLICY: We love dogs at Wild Things! However, they must be kept on a leash at all times, and be well behaved/friendly. PLEASE pick up after them. Those who do not follow these guidelines may be asked to leave.
*CLUBHOUSE RULES: Please- no unattended children in the pool/clubhouse area. There is no lifeguard on duty and we cannot have young ones running around unsupervised in the clubhouse. You are welcome to bring them over, just please have a responsible adult keeping an eye out. Thanks!
*CRAFT VENDORS: Who doesn’t love shopping for local, handmade, one-of-a kind goods and wares?! We look forward to a bustling and vibrant Vendor Village this year. If you’re interested in slanging your goods, please reach out to Katie at wildthingsfamilyreunion@gmail.com for more info. The more, the merrier!
*ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES: We will have yoga classes, a Kid’s Parade, crafting tables, cold plunges, Recovery meetings, and a silent disco on Friday and Saturday night. Stay tuned during the Fest for more info on when and where these events will be taking place!
*YE OLDE TRADING POST: Have some decluttering to do? Have a costume piece you don’t wear anymore? Bring your random odds and ends that no longer serve you, and trade them in the World Famous Ye Olde Trading Post! One man gathers what another man spills.
*FAMILY PHOTO: We will take two group Family photos throughout the weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Stay tuned for announcements during the fest so you know when and where to be to get in on the magic. Shout out to MIKE CORN for his awesome photo skills (and for the majority of the photos on this website)!
*WILD THINGS LITTLE FREE LIBRARY: Bring a book or two to trade at the Wild Things Little Free Library! Readers are leaders!
*FUN: Encouraging everyone to bring costumes, lights, toys, sparkly things, a good attitude and your smiles! Wild Things has grown to be a peaceful, loving, helpful and respectful community, and we need your help to keep it that way! Thank you!
*PERSONAL SAFETY: While we do our very best to make sure the grounds are safe and free of hazards, please remember that we are still outdoors and certain hazards may exist. Please use caution when walking around as there may be holes or trip hazards. Use a headlamp when walking around at night. We are not responsible for any personal injury that may occur while in attendance. Please alert a staff member or go directly to the bar if there is any sort of emergency.
*FOLKS BRINGING RVs*
*There are no water hookups so we recommend filling your water tanks before you arrive. Also, if you need to dump your grey/black water tanks during the Fest, the people who come to clean the porto potties everyday will often offer to pump your tanks for a fee (paid to them). This is not always the case, but if you manage to track them down when they are doing the cleanings, they are usually pretty cool about it. But again, bring Cash & no guarantees. There are no RV dump stations onsite. Electric hook ups are for 30-amp plugs ONLY, please bring an adapter if you know you require a different amperage!
*IMPORTANT- In addition to purchasing an RV pass, every person in your party will also need to purchase a 3-day pass. The RV pass only secures your space in the powered RV grid.
